THE REVIEWS ARE IN!
"Despite having a microscopic budget, the film masks it well...a solid effort that trumps the vast majority of its direct-to-video brethren. Tempe Video may just now be dipping its toes into DVD, but I can't recall a company of any size roaring out of the gates with a disc comparable to this. Regardless of what you may think about the film, there's no denying that WITCHOUSE 3: DEMON FIRE is easily among the most impressive special editions ever assembled for a horror movie." - Adam Tyner, DVDTalk.com
"J.R. Bookwalter's Tempe continues to represent the high end; just look at what's packed into their WITCHOUSE 3: DEMON FIRE disc. Whew! The movie itself admirably stretches its limited means, with a couple of genuinely creepy moments..." - Michael Gingold, FANGORIA #210
"In my review for WITCHOUSE 2: BLOOD COVEN, I stated that the DVD had set a high watermark for quality in direct-to-video releases. Well, indie horror auteur J.R. Bookwalter must have read that statement, as the newly-released WITCHOUSE 3: DEMON FIRE goes even further in terms of bells and whistles. A fast, fun film which offers some suspenseful scenes (the seance in particular) and above-average (for the genre) performances...much better than many of the Hollywood horror flops which have come out in the past decade, so fright fans might want to check this one out." - Mike Long, DVD Review
"Why does everyone seem to think that in order to have a good movie, you have to spend $100 million? WITCHOUSE 3 and director J.R. Bookwalter are out to prove the world wrong. I thought I had this film figured out a number of times, but was sadly mistaken and pleasantly surprised with the ending. Bookwalter does a fantastic job of drawing you in and then whipping the rug out from under you...one of the coolest DVDs that you'll be proud to add to your collection. WITCHOUSE 3: DEMON FIRE is a must-see!" - Wes Menzel, Second Balcony
"A very pleasing spooky thriller that's now being released on DVD with a plethora of extras. My favorite thing about this movie is its great cast...lovely Brinke Stevens is the ghastly witch Lilith and looks very creepy in her top-notch makeup and provides the film with lots of chills. This is one of the best roles I have seen Debbie Rochon in and her scenes with Brinke at the climax of the film are my favorite. Add to this some fine editing, good directing and some nice camerawork along with a good storyline!" - Mike Haushalter, Secret Scroll Digest
"A very insular and claustrophic feel and once again J.R. Bookwalter can stand proud at being able to work a low-budget production into a 'real' movie feel...a well-rounded production very much in the vein of the true modern American horror genre that Hollywood seems to have forgotten about in a sea of mainstream dross. An entertaining slice of low-budget viewing...get under the skin of the new wave of genre moviemaking and check this baby out!" - Alan Simpson, Sex Gore Mutants
"...one of the finest I've ever seen for the money they had. Director J.R. Bookwalter has done many cool horror flicks over the years, but I think this is his finest work yet. A true accomplishment. Debbie Rochon does some astounding things in this film in terms of acting, she is usually great but I was really impressed with her here...the ending floored me. I have to say it's cool to see an indie horror flick that doesn't depend on T&A to keep the audiences' attention. This is a solid DVD, overflowing with great extras and a movie chock-full of grade-A acting." - Gonzoriffic, Reviews You Can Use
"The film moves along at a surprisingly brisk pace, leading up to a wickedly fun climax in which director J.R. Bookwalter stages his first catfight since Jennifer Huss and Ariauna Albright duked it out in 1996's POLYMORPH. Very good score I might add. The cast does a pretty good job, too most notably relative newcomer Tanya Dempsey as the naive and uncertain Annie. The DVD is downright awesome." - Michael B. Scrutchin, Flipside Movie Emporium
"I really dug this flick! Now listen up indie filmmakers because this is how it's done right. Shot on a nine-day production schedule, this movie capitalizes on its shortcomings. It relies on strong acting from all of its actors (hats off to them all but particularly to Tanya Dempsey and Debbie Rochon for pulling off the range) and a strong script. The effects are minimal but effective. Hats off to director J.R. Bookwalter for making a movie that is entertaining and scary." - Brett Kelley, B-Side Hollywood
"WITCHOUSE 3 is the latest flick from cult director J.R. Bookwalter and in my opinion is his best effort...Bookwalter gives us a fairly interesting and fast-paced script that kept me in my seat. A pretty tight flick with a cool twist at the end. I can safely say that I was never bored and enjoyed every minute of the flick! Check it out!" - Jason Powell, Burnout Central
"The movie is a powerhouse of horror actresses...this is an actor's movie, without a doubt. The joy of this movie is watching the clever interplay between the actresses. Bookwalter and cinematographer Danny Draven work hard to establish a creepy mood through stylistic lighting and camerawork. Fans of the three main actresses are highly encouraged to check out this entertaining movie." - Mike Watt, eOpinions
"It is very rare that a company would take such care in releasing a title of theirs, and Tempe Entertainment really went the extra mile in getting this one released to the public...they produce DVDs as if they were the #1 DVD releaser out there. This is a good film, and an excellent DVD." - Allhorrormovies.com
